Who is your guide?

I like to play chess and there are some wonderful apps which give play a great game (and beat me) One of the options which I tend to use shows me what is the best move I should make. I use it to learn from but I also find as the game goes on I use it more and might take back a move I made. When I use the computers move I tend to win, which results in me using this option even more. Its hard to not press a button and see what the best move is.
I then thought of this scenario in our lives. We would love to have someone tell us, seek that career that is what is best for you, buy that house, invest in this stock, send you kids to this school, and you will do well. Our guide would tell us where to shop, what to buy, what friends to have, etc, etc, etc, and the outcome would always be we would "win"
But do we have a guide such as this? Perhaps in some areas, a mentor, a friend. But we all know whatever choices we make things may not turn out as we thought, and often times this is so. The outcome we were expecting, the "win" did not go that way, in fact sometimes it is plain awful. Yes sometimes we do make the "win" choice and the results are great.
When you choose God, the Holy Spirit, or Jesus as your guide you are choosing to "win". Perhaps not on the physical level but on the spiritual realm, and that is where we truly reside and are one with. You are choosing peace no matter what happens on

earth, you are choosing love, you are choosing joy. For the moves we make in our world, rather they seem to work out great or not are lessons for us to choose once again. That choice is do you want to feel love, joy, peace, or do you want to choose something else.
Your guide is leading you to make this choice, choices of the ego result in pain, choices otherwise result in peace and the realization we are one with God in his love and share this in eternity.
Which will you choose today?
