Who are you?

The question posed long ago

The answer perhaps not so bold

Deep in thought I prayed for sight

and he answered, You are the Light!

But knowing and experiencing are 2 sides

one is a start where peace abides

by learning to let love deep inside

and let the pain no longer hide

I am by no means perfect within a man

but I try and do the best that I can

And one in him I know is true

a golden light, a brilliant hue

Who am I, the same as you

One in him, you are too

Beyond the little dust that we feel

Infinite Spirit within God I heal

For beyond what eyes can see

a brilliant light is no mystery

and Peace and Love I do find there

beyond a world with so many cares

Now I know and I understand

Now I strive to be an enlightened man

for I know the journey seems long and far to reach

but with his love and mine, his will we teach

and I forgive that man who seemed little

for life is seen with such rhyme and riddles

and I forgive you as well and with gratitude say

We both are light and will within him stay
