Shifting Shadows

Our world is built on shifting shadows,

like sands in the deserts blowing to form new dunes,

carried far away on the winds of time.

as we play a new but old tune

We shift for a shadow rather day or night,

we chase a dream to make wrong or right.

But a shadow will shift and yet shift again and again.

For nothing seen here shows the true light within.

And thus do Shadows shift as our journey continues each day,

searching for the right one to bring us some release from the pain.

Pushing outside what we don't want to see within

and a shadow will shift, again and again

But look at the shadow and know there is a light

which show us the truth beyond our sight

the shadow is nothing and never will be

remember the light beyond

and Christ will you see
